Luke is the frontman, lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist for the Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds of Summer, more often known as 5SOS. They toured with One Direction back in the days which is a factor in their rose to fame, but the lads are undoubtedly talented on their own.

Look! Luke Goes Solo

Starting Line’ is the title of Luke Hemmings’ most recent release. It is the first track from his soon-to-be dropped a solo album called ‘When Facing The Things We Turn Away From.’

If you have been a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer, you will notice the band’s influence on Luke’s solo. You can still hear the pop-rock arrangement and the guy’s mad guitar skills. And as you thoroughly listen to the song’s lyrics, you will get what the 5SOS frontman is trying to relay.

A Look Back On Luke’s Career Under 5SOS

Lucas Hemmings was very young when his life was put under the spotlight. He was only 16 years old when the band gained local and international fans alike, and they started touring all over the world with One Direction.

With ‘Starting Line,’ Luke reminisces on his youth as if going back to the starting line—where it all started. In the song, he shares his sentiments about how he has missed growing up to make memories like a “normal” teenager would. He wanted to know what it was like to spend teenage years away from the paparazzi and other craziness that comes with being famous.

Many fans have wondered if Luke going solo, and is also engaged and about to tie the knot soon, means the end of an era for the chart-topping band. However, Luke has already clarified that is not the case.
