“Permission to Dance” by BTS Song Review

Phenomenal K-POP boy group known as BTS recently dropped yet another chart-topping song with the title ‘Permission To Dance.’ This is their third English song to be released, following their other smashing hits ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Butter.’

2021’s Summer Anthem: Permission To Dance

The song is started off strong by the singing voices of BTS’ maknae (Korean word for youngest) Jungkook and their leader RM (who is actually a rapper). You will find your head bopping along almost immediately.

Music icon Elton John’s name is mentioned within the lyrics in the first verse, “Just sing along to Elton John,” and was also referenced in the music video. BTS is known to have massive respect for the mentioned artist, and they pay homage in every way they can.

Permission To Dance takes on a feel-good and upbeat rhythm; you really would not need permission to put your shoes on and shake your whole body like there is no tomorrow. The lyrics are also begging listeners to let go, be carefree, and have fun!

Little Fun Fact About The New Track

Grammy-awardee singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has teamed up with the group once again. He has confirmed that he did co-write and co-produce BTS’ new single ‘Permission To Dance’ on multiple occasions. Ed also previously contributed to the group’s Map Of The Soul: Persona album.

Coincidentally, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and BTS are the only artists to gross over $100 million in tours alone back in 2019. So this track is star-studded.

What’s Next For The Record-Breaking Boy Group?

There is still no news as to what plans BTS has after releasing ‘Permission To Dance.’ What is set is they return as guests to the US TV show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to perform their new single for the first time on live television.
