Promised Land

Capo None

G 320033
C x32010
D xx0232
Em 022000

In the intro; you may think it's a lot of chords but it's actually just a G chord.
try playing it by plucking the bass note which is the 3rd fret of the low E tring then pluck the 2nd fret of the A string (32xxxx) alternately 3 times, then pluck again the 2rd fret of the A string then do a pull of into a open A (30xxxx) .

Do the same to the C chord in the stanza, play the 3rd fret of the A string then pluck the 2nd fret of the D string (x32xxx) 3 times then do a pull offs in the 2nd fret of the D into a open D (x30xxx)

[Intro]
G
....

[Verse 1]
 G
Head down as I punch this clock

The hours roll, they never stop
    C G
And I can't ever seem to get ahead
 G
Alway's tryin' to do what's right

Straight and narrow, it's gettin' tight
 C G
Don't know how much longer I can stand

[Chorus 1]
          D
And I'm wonderin'
            C
Yeah, I'm wonderin'
                      G
Where's my promised land?

[Verse 2]
 G
Out here on this desert road

It's hot as fire but I've grown cold
  C G
Circlin' like a plane that never lands
     G
And even though the questions change

The answers always stay the same
  C
Maybe someday I will understand

[Chorus 2]
        D
So I'm wonderin'
         C
Got me wonderin'
                     G
Wh?re's my promised land?
           D
Yeah, I'm wond?rin'
            C
Still, I'm wonderin'
                     G
Where's my promised land?

[Bridge]
            D Em
Well, I've run this Earth for many years
     C
If there's one thing I know
          D Em
There's nowhere on this side o' Heaven
        C
Where streets are made o' gold
      D
I've long laid tell my grand illusions
 Em D
Lookin' toward the day that I'll be home

[Verse 3]
G
I won't give up on this race

Broken but I still have faith
      C G
That this old life is part of a plan
    G
And I can feel it in my soul

One day, I'll stand before the throne
       C G
With nothin' left but hope and these two hands

[Chorus 3]
                    D
Through all these seasons
             C
I'm still believin'
                     G
You're my promised land
            D
In all my grievin'
             C
I'm still believin'
                     G
You're my promised land

[Outro]
                    D C
You're my promised land.......
     G G
Ooh ooh ooh-ooh, ooh ooh ooh-ooh
                    D C
You're my promised land.......
     G G
Ooh ooh ooh-ooh, ooh ooh ooh-ooh

Ah ah
 D C G
Ooh ooh-ooh, ooh ooh (ooh-ooh)
D C
Oh oh-oh,
                     G
You're my promised land
